More InformationWhen bulk materials compact, lose air or form bridges, material flow can come to a halt. Rather than relying on a standard solution, A.B.S. offers four discharge aids designed for specific flow problems. Each system is adapted to the stored material and the existing vessel.
Walk-Ex® periodically blows air into and extracts it from the air-retaining cone, changing its geometry. This breaks up bulk material bridges and restores free material flow.
Fliess-Ex® uses an intelligent combination of materials to reduce the coefficient of friction and create particularly smooth surfaces along the outer walls and cone.
Fluid-Ex® reintroduces air into the bulk material in a targeted manner. Its highly flexible textile construction helps restore the flowability of materials that have lost air during storage.
Pneum-Ex® uses several air cushions arranged in the cone to continuously vary its shape and discharge angle. This counteracts bridging before it can fully develop.
All four systems work without components protruding into the silo. This protects the stored material, facilitates cleaning and maintenance, and keeps power consumption low. At FAKUMA, A.B.S. will demonstrate which discharge aid best suits each bulk material and process.
